Karenza Going Down the Slide

This is a video of Karenza going down the slide (all by her self!). She wasn't so sure at first. Randy held her hand a couple times so she got used to it, and then before we knew it she was doing it all by herself. Saturday night the boys' sisters took Karenza in the swimming pool and they all gave her a lot of attention which she loved! The boys gave her attention too. She is not afraid to tell them what she thinks.

It was sure nice to just get away and to be together and spend some family time together. Karenza of course had us laughing a lot of the time. She was so good, and used the potty well. She cried yesterday when we were packing up because she didn't want to go. We had a pool view room so she could see the kids swimming so I could never tell her the pool was "closed!". But, I told her we were going to another hotel this weekend. Randy has another tournament in Dickinson.

As for some funny stories from this weekend:

When Randy's boys got to play at the Sioux Center (where UND plays their basketball games) we had to park a ways away and when we were walking to the doors she told Randy and me "When are we going to be there? We've been walking for hours!!" I just had to laugh because we had not even been walking for a minute!

Another funny moment was we were sitting watching a game before Randy's boys played and all the boys were sitting behind us, and Karenza was turned around in her seat and was telling all the boys to make sure they find their guy when they play basketball and to play tough! She was pointing her finger at them, and they all thought it was funny. But she was as serious as could be.

And one more story - Randy had to sign his team in on Saturday morning and they gave him a packet with wrist bands for all the boys. So when we got back to the hotel all the boys were in one room and Randy, Karenza and I took them their wrist bands. When we were walking back to our room Karenza said to Randy "Daddy, those boys are so cute!" He told her he didn't want to hear her talk like that. I didn't press it much, as I thought it was a little funny. I'll worry about it in 10 years or so (hopefully not sooner).

Watching Cartoons

Catching some cartoons quick before we head out again. Isn't she the cutest thing ever??

Karenza Sleeping (Again)

Karenza sleeping in a bed all by herself on Saturday morning. Randy and I were up and ready to go. We both had showered, the TV was on and she was still sleeping. Swimming must have really worn her out!

Karenza Sleeping (Only for a little bit)

This is Karenza on the way to Grand Forks. She did have her cap on, which she took off and explains her messy hair. She fell asleep almost immediately. Randy got tired (as he had played a basketball game before we left) and so he pulled over to let me drive. She then woke up, and never did go back to sleep. Randy was able to catch a snooze by tuning her out. The drive was long, and she was getting restless the closer we got to Grand Forks. She did ask my when I was driving "Mommy, are you sleeping too?" I laughed and told her I was wide awake! She told me good job! :o)

Basketball Games

The boys got to play one game on the same court that UND (they are Division I) plays their basketball games at so they were really excited. It was a super nice gym. I had never been in there before. Here are some pics of the gym/boys/Randy.

Big Fancy Drink

Karenza's big fancy drink at Paradiso's. It turned her lips/teeth/tongue/fingers all blue. She loved it!

The Upcoming Weekend

Well, we finally got our web cam working. After I found my laptops USB ports. There was a panel in the back of the laptop that I didn't notice before that opened up. I could have saved multiple runs this past weekend to Staples and Office Depot looking for what I thought I needed. Probably a good thing my job isn't in the IT Dept. Anyway, I wanted to see if it was working so I called Mom and Dad (who have had one for probably a month or more and love it!) to try calling me over the computer to test it out. Well it took a while for it to work. First we could hear each other but not see each other. Karenza was sitting beside me at the island in the kitchen and she could hear my Mom from the my laptop and she put her face close up to the screen and said "Grandma?" and Mom talked back to her. She had the weirdest look on her face. Then we finally got the video to work. And there we were sitting on our bar stools in our kitchen and Mom and Dad were in their office and we were making silly faces to each other. I told Mom good thing you spent all this money for us to be able to make funny faces at each other. It is really cool though. I wish I would have had it when I lived in Seattle. After we were done last night I just unhooked the web cam and left it sitting on the counter island and put my laptop on the living room floor. This morning I was making peanut butter and jelly for Karenza before daycare, and she saw that web cam sitting there on the counter and she picked it up and yelled in it "Grandma?" It was so funny!!

Well this weekend we are headed to Grand Forks for Randy's basketball tournament for his 6th grade boys. Looks like a big tournament there are teams from Canada, Minnesota, and South Dakota. I haven't been to Grand Forks for probably 15 years and Randy has never been there. We borrowed Mom and Dad's GPS system so we know how to get around. Karenza is so excited to be staying in a hotel and going swimming again. She has her bag packed. It is about a 4 hour drive and Randy & I are only working a 1/2 day tomorrow so that will be nice. Just a couple things to wrap up for the week and before I start month end when I come back on Monday. It will be nice to get there before dark and check out the town for a while.

Have a Great Weekend! I will post pictures from our weekend when I return.

Last Night

Last night we went to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner, and the first picture is Karenza putting a puzzle (that she got from Papa and Grandma for Easter) together while we are waiting for daddy to finish getting ready. Look at those lips and dark eyes? I love it! At the Texas Roadhouse they give you a pail of peanuts and an empty pail to put the shells in. She thought that was the neatest thing! I had my camera in my purse and had to take a picture of her trying to open the peanuts. Then she tells me "Mom look at me!" Randy and I must have been having a long conversation because I didn't notice she was doing this until I looked at her. She must have gotten the idea of this from this weekend when she was putting the olives on her fingers. I just love how little her fingers still look and all the creases. That's the only thing that seems to be staying little. She measures about 3 inches above my belly button, and she's not quite 3 1/2!

Presents (For Me?)

Since Cassidy didn't have school today she hung out with Mom all day while Jer and Hol had to work. So they went shopping (something they always do together whenever Cass spends the day with my mom). They stopped over today during lunch and brought us prensents for our anniversary. I got a nice card and $50 from mom and dad. Cassidy has been making origami, and she said she first tried making a swan (from memory because she didn't have her book with her), but that it turned into a pig. (See above photos). She had the pig attached to an envelope with a letter inside it which is above too. The girl almost made me cry. She is so thoughtful and is getting so big (will be 9 in May!!). She also bought us a present with her own money. The girl is 8 (almost nine) and she spends her money on me and Randy! What a special loving girl. She bought us a french vanilla candle (Randy's favorite by the way) and a candle holder, and a little puppy wiener dog (she has this kind of dog at home!). So special. I got a dozen beautiful roses from my husband (they are a dark beautiful red) with a huge singing balloon that is singing "You're Still The One, and We're Still Having Fun!" Karenza loves it. All you have to do is touch the balloon lightly and it will sing, well Karenza has been boxing with it to make it sing! What a beautiful day. Makes me feel so blessed with all the well wishes we have received. I truly have an amazing family! Love ya all!

Miranda

P.S. There have been lots of posts the last few days with so much to share. Make sure you look at the side of the blog for the links to make sure you're caught up with everything! :-)

Happy 1st Anniversay!

Today is mine and Randy's 1st anniversary. Crazy how fast a year goes. Last year I know the weather was so much nicer. It was 75 degrees on our wedding! The Expedition Limo we rented had no air conditioning working so I was quite warm! Anyway, it's been a year since then. Although we will have known each other 9 years in August. That's just crazy. My Grandpa and Grandma have been married for 54 years in June (I believe, if my math is correct). For those of you who don't know my grandpa had a stroke in May 2006, and is now paralyzed on the left side of his body and has been in a nursing home ever since. Its amazing to see the love, courage, strength, and devotion my Grandma has. She is a remarkable woman! I told my Mom and Dad that I can't even begin to imagine what Grandma is going through. My Dad said that when you get older you have a different understanding and he didn't know how to quite explain it, but that you understand that someone is caring for your loved one and that makes you happy that they are being cared for. Maybe I'll get it one day, but as of now I hope that Randy and I have 54+ years together. You wait your whole life to have someone make you happy and to be able to build your dreams with. To be the father to your children. I have an amazing man that makes me laugh and feel loved everyday. In the deepest of sorrows to the highest of highs I know I have him by my side for life. Here is to us, Honey, and many more. I love you with all my heart and soul.

Karenza, Papa & Cassidy with Olives

Karenza is on her mic telling jokes, singing, and whatever. When my dad asks her something I just got in on the last minute. I was filming her because I thought she was going to tell me a joke. But this took place instead. We hadn't eaten lunch yet, and Dad and Cass and her are sneaking olives before lunch. So Karenza is pretending to be sick and the olive is the medicine to make her better. She is such a pretender/faker! Just watch her face. She is something else. Karenza = Patient, Cassidy = Nurse, Dad/Papa = Instigator!!

Grand Finale...

And the grand finale is none other then Karenza singing and dancing on the counter. I remember I could barely sit on the counter when I was a kid! Boy, how times have changed. :-)

Filling the eggs

Cassidy filling the eggs now. She sure did a good job. I don't think I've tasted a better deviled egg!

Cassie's Turn

Cass you can stir if you want to. It wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be.

Washing it down...

Had to wash it down with a little root beer. Her first reaction was to spit it back in the bowl.

Deviled Eggs

Karenza is helping my mom make deviled eggs. Mom asked her if it was good, and to taste it so she did and that was her reaction. She doesn't like yolk from an egg. So, look at the above picture....

Blake, (Great) Grandma, and Karenza

Blake (Cody's youngest - my cousin) and Karenza are watching Grandma Donna play slots on the computer. Doesn't look like she's doing too good according to their expressions. Karenza has on her little Senorita outfit. She always wears that when she goes to my mom and dads. It's getting a little tight on her, but she still manages to get it on. Cassidy used to do the same thing with that dress.

Easter Pose

Karenza posing right before we head to mom and dads. We were to poky this morning to be able to make it to church in time. So, whoops! I think she looks so cute with her hair down/out. And of course the pose isn't complete without the hands on the hips! :-)

Karenza's Easter Present

Here is Karenza's Easter present she received this morning. She absolutely loves it! She hasn't been able to go in the garage all week! This morning when she woke up she found her Easter basket filled with color book, and Strawberry Shortcake movies and all the Easter eggs hid. She loved her movies, and found all the Easter eggs. It was really cute watching her find them. Then she read the letter the Easter Bunny wrote her and he told her that he left her an extra special present for her in the garage because it was to heavy to carry in the house. So out to the garage we went and her eyes just lit up! Then she wanted to bring it in the house (it was cold in the garage!) So her dad said yes. So that is why she is riding the bike in the living room. I recorded her with my other camera and so I don't have capabilities to download off of that one yet. More pictures probably to post after we visit mom and dad.

Karenza's Finger Painting

This is Karenza's bunny she finger painted at daycare today. They also dyed Easter eggs, and since some kids won't be there tomorrow she got some Easter gifts. She will take her presents tomorrow to give to the kids. Doesn't look like the weather will be cooperating with us since it was snowing most of all day today. Sure wish spring would come. Last year at this time I was busy with our wedding. Can't believe its going to be a year on Monday already. Time sure does fly! Hope everyone has a very happy Easter, and gets to spend some time with loved ones.

Dying Easter Eggs

Karenza and I dyed Easter eggs tonight and they turned out really cute. We went to Walmart after daycare today and she picked out the dye kit. It came with stickers and a crayon that you can draw on before you put it in the dye. She drew lines on one, swirls on another, and then I wrote her name, "mom" and "dad" on the others. I boiled 10 eggs thinking that was enough for her to find (plus it was all I had). The stickers were funny faces and she would pick out the eyes and the mouth to go on each of the eggs. She sure had fun. She doesn't quite understand the concept of the Easter Bunny coming and hiding them though. While we were at Walmart I let her pick out her Easter Basket (just the basket - it was empty!). She picked out a pink and purple princess one. I thought that this could be an easy way to let her understand how it works. I told her we had to leave the basket out for the Easter Bunny to fill. Although she has to wait until Saturday night to put it out. I am sure I will get asked every day/night until Saturday if it is time to put out the Easter basket. But that's okay. We'll be going to Church on Sunday then to mom and dad's for the afternoon. (I will have to explain at another blog entry the whole conversation Randy and I had with Karenza about God a few days ago - it is quite cute). Can't believe it is Easter already. Seems really early to me.

Karenza Reading Cinderella

Last night I had dinner with a girlfriend, and we met at about 6:00pm at Applebees. It was the only night that worked for Randy or I seemed busy all other nights this week. Karenza was not happy that I was leaving. She cried big tears. I didn't tell her I was leaving until about 10 minutes before I left. I told her that I had a meeting I had to go to. She said, but you work here. I said I know honey, but it's a different kind of meeting it's not for work. She crawled up in the chair with me and just laid on my shoulder with her blanket and big tears fell. I told her that I was coming back and that I would be back before she went to bed. Randy asked her if she wanted to play games, and she said no only with mommy. Well, that made me (and Randy) feel bad. I got the Dora Chutes and Ladders game down and her and Randy were setting it up when I left. She cried so hard. Broke my heart. But it was good for her and me to get away. Time for her and daddy to spend time together. It was nice to get away. As I was driving I realized I probably need to do this more often even though it was hard to walk out the door. It was a great dinner and I really enjoyed it. When I got home (7:50) she was so happy to see me. The living room floor was covered with more games then I got down. She runs up to me and give me a great big hug and kiss and tells me "I was juggling!" I said "What?" She said "Daddy and I were juggling!" I looked in the living room and saw the marbles from Hungry Hungry Hippos out and so she showed me how she was juggling. So I guess they had a good time together, because that isn't something mommy would have showed her. I am sure I will find a marble when I am vacuuming. Karenza was getting ready for bed, and I told her to grab a book and mommy would read. So she grabs the big Disney Cinderella book that has all the Disney stories in it. I read her three stories, and then she wanted to read it to me. Prolonging on going to bed. So I thought this would be cute to record because she is a cute reader. So when I got the camera she got the giggles and so did I. I have about 6 different clips, but I put up the three funny ones. The videos are still dark, but hopefully you'll get the gist of her. She was something else last night. Enjoy!

Karenza Reading & Giggling

I am sorry that the videos are so dark. I have tried messing around with my camera, and I couldn't find anything that seemed to help. Randy thinks he fixed it now so we'll see on my next video. At least you can look close and kind of see her, but the purpose is to just hear her. This was right before bed last night and she was in such a funny mood that it took a while to settle down.

Karenza Reading (or trying too)

Karenza trying to clear her throat and be serious about reading Cinderella to me. She is so funny! I don't know how this can't make anyone laugh! And I get to have this almost every night. Talk about refreshing.

Pictures of Randy Coaching

Here are a couple pictures of Randy's team. They are called Chaos. They won their consolation game today 50-10! So they took away Consolation champs again this tourney too. They just need to win that first game it seems like. Next weekend we have no basketball, just Easter. Then it's off to Grand Forks last weekend in March, and then Dickinson first weekend in April. Lots of basketball left so we'll see how they do. Have a great week!

Karenza Running

This is just a video of Karenza running at Randy's basketball game today. She is running with the sisters of the boys Randy coaches. They just love her, and so they are just running in the halls at the school. She seems to be telling them what to do.

Movie Weekend...

On Friday when Randy and I went and got Karenza from daycare I told him we should do something fun for her. She kind of had a bad week. Randy had been up and gone to work a couple mornings before she was up this week and she gets so sad when she doesn't get to see her daddy. There were a couple days I let her take her blanket to daycare. I don't usually let her, and she usually doesn't ask. But on Wednesday morning when I dropped her off she cried. She never cries when I leave her. When I was leaving I saw her blanket in the backseat of the Expedition and so I grabbed it and took it back into her. When I picked her up Wednesday night Cindy asked me if Randy was home this morning and I told her no. She said that's why she was crying because she hadn't seen her daddy. So on Friday Randy and I decided to take her to the movie Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who. It is such a cute movie, and Karenza loved it! We sat through the whole movie (no potty break or anything!). She had her popcorn and was happy as could be. At the end of the movie when everything worked out for everyone, and everyone was happy. The theatre was quiet, but Karenza clapped and cheered and people around us laughed. When we were walking out she thanked Randy and me for taking her to the best movie ever! So we made her day. Made me feel really good that she thanked me with out even asking. Yesterday, Randy had a basketball tournament at Horizon Middle School. Their first game was at 10AM. They lost by only 4 points. They were a head the whole game and then lost at the end due to some mental mistakes. Randy was frustrated, but I told him he just had to let it go and let it roll off his back. Was giving him his own advice he gives his boys! Then their next game was at 2PM and they won 62-19! So they play today at 12Pm for the Consolation Champs (again!). So we'll see how that goes. Karenza is getting so big, and is getting to listen really well. I took a bag with color books, crayons, barbies, fruit snacks, ect. She just sat by me and colored and played. I was able to keep defensive stats for Randy (as he made the kids this week in practice make goals for rebounds/blocks/assists/steals). I was able to keep them pretty close I guess. If I would stop talking to the parents I probably could be more accurate! ;o)

More Bathtime Singing

Another bath time tune. She is quiet at first, but then she really starts to sing and get "into it". You'll see what I mean when you see the video. She is really serious and means business!

Bathtime Singing...

Karenza was singing in the bath tub tonight so I asked her if I could get the camera, and of course she agreed. She is quite funny if you haven't already noticed. :o)

Basketball (Again...)

Tonight Randy had basketball league for himself, and Karenza and I haven't gone the last few weeks. He played at 7:15 so we decided to go. She was so excited to be able to see MaKya. Her daddy plays with Randy on the team. She had 5 barbie dolls ready to take with. I talked her down to 2 (one for her and one for MaKya). She had princess fruit snacks to take along as well. There are some pictures above of tonight of her warming up with Randy. She loves to just run on the court. Tonight during the game a guy came down and elbowed Randy right in the chin. His bottom tooth went all the way though his skin/bottom lip. It was bleeding like crazy, but he wouldn't let me take him to the ER. Being a guy I guess and trying to be tough. He said it didn't hurt. But we came home and I put ice on it and it seemed to stop for a little bit. Hopefully it will be fine. It looks really gross! He said that you only need stitches if its a big gouge. To me it looked like a gouge and if it didn't stop bleeding. His version or my version probably depends on who you listen too. I guess he'll be fine. Also, tonight after Karenza had been in bed for a while I went to check on her and above is a picture of her sleeping. I covered her up and put her legs the right way. If you look close you can see a barbie doll (actually Ryan from High School Musical Barbie Doll) in her bed with her. Silly girl.

Warm Weather

Boy was today a beautiful day! Spring is right around the corner I can smell it. The snow is melting away. Can't wait to see green grass! It was so nice outside that when we all were home and off of work we went outside. Randy gave Karenza a quick ride on his motorcycle and she loved it. He was letting the motorcycle run because it hasn't been started for a few months and they both were sitting on it and Karenza was "revving" it up. He let her, and I had to tell her to stop. She thought it was funny. I cleaned out the Expedition and putted around in the garage. It was really nice to just be outside. We then came in for dinner and Karenza's idea for dinner was grits! We had chicken and dumplings. Karenza and I were going to set up our new wireless Internet for the new laptop we got (from mom and dad, thanks!!) but the wireless kit we got was for DSL and mine is through the cable company so we'll have to return what we have and get what we need. So Karenza and I were laying on the floor in the living room playing with her Cinderella CD on the new laptop and she can decorate Cinderella's castle and the different rooms and Cinderella's garden. It's quite cute! Anyway, I was putting stuff in the castle were she was telling me to put it, and then she moved and was sitting on my back. I said "Oh, honey that hurts mommy's back can you get off?" She said, "But Mom you'll be able to see me pick my nose though!" I couldn't help but laugh. Randy had to tell her to get out of her nose because I couldn't stop laughing. She is a character!

Hopefully the rest of the week will be nice. Seems like I have more energy today/this evening must be a combination of more sun light and it being 60 degrees today.

Have a great week...

Picture of Karenza This Weekend

Dad just sent me this picture he took of Karenza today when she was watching High School Musical. She had her head set microphone on and her microphone stand and was singing away to all the songs (yes, she knows all the songs on both High School Musicals!).

Great Weekend...

Mom called on Friday night to see if Karenza and I wanted to ride along with her and my dad on Saturday morning to Underwood to see my grandpa. They said they would pick us up around 9:30. Randy had a basketball tournament and his first games wasn't until 1:00pm, but he wanted to see a team play at 9:00am and set the alarm for 8am. No sleeping in I guess! So off to his game he went and Karenza and I were off to Underwood. Mom drove and dad and Karenza sat in the back. All the way up to Underwood (about a 45 min/hour drive) Karenza and my dad were making plans for her to stay overnight at papa and grandma's house. My grandpa wasn't having a very good day. I don't even think he knew we were there. Which is so sad, because on his good days he asks to see the "little people" (his great-grandkids) and today Karenza was there to ask him "how is feelings was?" she always asks him that and he looks forward to her asking him that. Today when she asked him I don't think he even knew what she said. All keep saying is "I want to go to sleep". It is so sad to see my grandpa that way. He is such a strong man, and to see him suffer is so hard to see. I love him and sure do miss him dearly. So we didn't stay long. Mom and dad dropped me off at Simile middle school were Randy's tournament was being held and off Karenza went with my mom dad. She sure is getting big now that she is potty trained. No worrying of carrying diapers or anything. I just had to take pj's and clothes for the next day to mom and dad's when I was done. I got there just in time to watch Randy's game. He does such a great job with those kids. Has the patience, yet gets the most out of them. I can really see the improvement he has done with them from the start of the season. And boy do they look up to him! He doesn't see it as much as I do, but they do. It was nice to be able to watch him coach without having Karenza there to watch. Although all the other kids wanted to know where she was. She was missed! There is another tournament next weekend at Century High School so she will be able to go to that one. They lost their first game by about 10 points. They played against a Casselton team and one 6th grader had to be 6'2"! Crazy. Just couldn't box him out or get him out of the lane. But they played three more games and won all three to take home the consolation champs! A parent came up to Randy and I after the game thanking Randy for all his hard work and how good he is with the kids. She said as a mom she appreciates that. I guess the last couple years there coach screamed at the kids. She told Randy she loves his approach towards the kids, and how to get what he wants and the kids still keep their head up. He told the mom that he has a great group of kids and the kids all have great parents that teach them well. I told him he should be proud of what the mom told him. It's a different side to him I haven't seen before. He is so great with those kids! This morning there game was at 8am. We had to be there at 7am. Randy set the alarm for 6:15am and with the time change it was really 5:15am! So I am one tired mama. After their first game we did come home and try to take a rest. There last game was at 1:15 and I called mom and dad to see if Karenza was ready to come home and if we should go and get her. I should have known - she was not ready to come home. Dad answered the phone and said she was having to much fun and that he would let me know when she wanted to come home! She was watching High School Musical 2. Dad was being Troy and Karenza was Gabriella. I bet dad can't wait for one of us to have a boy so he can play cops and robbers just once! She finally came home about 5 or so. Mom and dad had to bribe her with ice cream because she knew when she left mom and dad's that she would have to go home. So they told her lets go get some ice cream. They asked her if she wanted to call mommy and she said yes, dad said he had my number on his cell phone and said are you sure you want to talk to mommy because if I push it you will have to go home. So she said that was okay she didn't want to talk to me! She is something else. Here she came home with ice cream from the Dairy Queen. She was telling mom and dad by, but she told dad "By Troy!" Poor dad! Mom told me that she didn't take a nap either day (dad would lay down with her, no wonder there was no nap!). Mom said that she laid her down and that she cried for mommy and then mom went and got her and tried rocking in the chair. But my dad was in the other chair making faces at her so she would laugh. No wonder why she doesn't want to come home when you can have fun and no rules at papa and grandma's house. Mom and dad said she sure is getting to be such a big girl. How time flies. I don't have to shop in the baby section anymore for her. First no formula, then no diapers! Now she gets to almost wear big girl clothes too. She is only 3, but she acts so much older. Randy is giving her a bath, and I better go help wash her hair. Have a great week!!

One Long Week...

I haven't written since Monday because it's been a hectic week! Month end was crazy, Karenza was sick, I was sick! It was nuts. Tuesday night I was up all night with Karenza because she got the flu. Randy had to stay home with her on Wednesday because there was no way I was able to with month end. However, it seemed she got over it quick and the whole day was a play day with them two. They got in trouble with mom quite a bit! :-) I had my door closed to my office and my music on, and Karenza would open the door and tell me that she is "just checking on me". Randy was talked into being a "prince" for the day. Karenza had her blanket wrapped around her like a dress and Randy was her prince. I heard her pouting outside my door, and so I opened and asked her what was wrong. She said "The Prince!" I said what about the prince? She said "The Prince on the couch!" I walked out to the living room and Randy was sitting on the couch. I just had to shake my head, and back into my hole I went! The next morning we were all getting ready and Karenza was dragging butt all morning. I was at the door ready to go, and she was in her room with the door closed. Randy went and knocked on her door and she said "who is it?" He said "Your royal driver" and she opened the door and she said "yes?" he said "your ride awaits you, princess" - meaning that I was ready to go! And she said to him "Now isn't a good time!", and shuts the door in his face! I was like tell the princess to get out here b/c mommy has got to get going! I had to tell her there was this big party at daycare that she was going to miss if she didn't hurry. Once we got to daycare she asked Cindy where the party was at, and so I had to tell Cindy that was my excuse to get her there. She didn't pressure it much more so it worked! With month end coming to a close and the week coming to a close it isn't going to be a quite weekend. Randy has another 6th grade basketball tournament this weekend. At least it is in Bismarck so that won't be so bad. Hopefully I can get some things done around here that I had on my list to do last weekend that didn't get done. As a closing, Karenza and I were looking through pictures and she saw the one above and said "Oh mom, you and dad are in love!" I had to laugh when she said that. It is at Randy's family reunion in August of 2006 in Alabama. Have a great weekend!

Welcome The Cunniff Twins!

My good friends Court & Mel from Washington (Melanie is my manager, well Courtney has been at some point too and both personal attendants in my wedding) had their babies on Sunday March 2nd! Jack William Cunniff was born at 03:35 AM, weighing in at a healthy 6 lbs 8 oz and 18 1/2 inches long. Avery Dale Cunniff followed her brother shortly thereafter at 04:01 AM, weighing 6 lbs 3 oz and 18 1/4 inches long. Congrats to them both for there new additions.

Sending love all the way from ND!

Yup I'm Sick...

Well, so much for thinking I was sick....I am!! Got the whole sinus, very tired, headache thing. At least it's not Influenza A (at least not yet). I took a 4 hour nap on Saturday (thanks to a great husband and a great daughter to let mommy sleep that long without being bothered!) I went and laid on our bed, and Randy closed the door. I can't remember the last time I have taken that long of a nap. Way before Karenza was born that's for sure - probably in college when I was hung over or something. I did leave the house on Saturday morning for a little bit to get some groceries for my family so I wouldn't have to be relied on so much for making something to eat for them. They were fine for the rest of the weekend! I didn't leave the house on Sunday. Just slept off and on all day. I did get a little bit of energy to work a little bit to get ahead for month end. Today was dreadful trying to get through work, but I did! Had my music on and was just working away. Hopefully I'll be heading to bed here shortly so I can continue through work tomorrow.

Mom and Dad went to Omaha, NE with Clete and Karen for a road trip to the casino's there. She called tonight and they are having a great time.

Hope all is well with everyone else.

Please Tell Me I am Not Getting Sick

I woke up yesterday morning with a soar throat and scratchy ears! If I got that from going to the ER, OMG that was quick! This morning I now have a cough (that hurts like hell!) and can barely talk. What the hell just happened? I was feeling just fine on Thursday! It is month end at work and so I can't be sick! Always seems to work out where I am sick during month end. Although I do have to say I have been pretty lucky this winter. Holly called Mom yesterday morning at 7:00am asking if she could come help her. She said she was so sick and that Cassidy needed to be taken to school. Mom went to Holly's and decided she needed to go to the doctor. So they took Cass to school and Mom took Holly to the doctor. She has Influenza A! And she felt fine the day before too. She stopped over on Thursday for her lunch and she was totally fine! The doctor told her that it starts out as a soar throat and scratchy ears and then it hits you like a bus! I am crossing my fingers I don't get it. I don't feel like I will. My ear itch like crazy! Drives me nuts. Just hope I don't give this to anyone else in my family. I have been wiping everything with disinfecting wipes and spraying Lysol like crazy. So we'll see. I wanted to go see my grandpa this weekend, but feeling crappy I am not sure I will make it up there. He is in the nursing home in Underwood and I haven't been able to see him since he was moved there. Have to get up there to see him. He has been asking about Karenza, and I miss him terribly.

Last night Jen and Wes (he was a groomsmen in our wedding) got a room at the Ramkota to let their kids go swimming. They called and asked if we wanted to bring Karenza over. Randy asked if I felt like going, and I wanted Karenza to have some fun for the night/day she had the day before. So we got her ready and she got to go swimming. I forgot my camera, so I don't have any pictures to share. She loved it though. She swam for 2 1/2 hours. We then ordered pizza and she ate a lot of pizza! Swimming must have tired her out. We didn't get home 'til late (12:00am!) and so she is still sleeping right now. I just peeked in there and she is knocked out! It was nice to be able to sleep in a little bit. I did buy her the My Little Pony and the Barbie Mariposa movie. I went to Target before I picked her up from daycare yesterday. She loved it and I got lots of hugs and kisses. She will have plenty to do this weekend. Of all the chores I had on my list not sure how much of it will get done. We'll see if I feel better as the day goes on.

Have a great weekend!
