Due for an Update!

Wow! Where has the time gone? We've been so busy! With me starting a new job, and training in a different town. It's been hectic around here. But, I figured my blog was due for an update with some pictures, and an update about the girls and my new job.

First and foremost, are pictures of the girls below! Amyah is growing so fast! It's so amazing to watch Karenza and her. She LOVES Karenza, and squeals every time she sees her. Of course Karenza loves that! Karenza has already been asking for a brother. I was like "Whoa! Hang on with that one!!" lol. Anyway, Amyah had her 4 month checkup and is meeting all standards, well exceeding them actually. She is in the over 100 percentile for height, and 95 percentile for her weight. I gotta big girl on my hands. She is in 6-9 month clothes because she is sooooo long. Below are pictures over the last few months.

Both girls just out of the bath (notice Amyah is grabbing Karenza's chin)
No smiles from Amyah

She will sit there for 20 minutes watching me clean/cook in the kitchen. Which is so nice! Like what her shirt says? Her Daddy does!

At the hotel with Mommy. Think this was week 3 of training.

Sleeping at the hotel. So sweet & innocent.

Close up of my beautiful girl

Man, I love that girl!

She has been swinging at things for a few months now. She can really bat at those things when she gets really excited!

I love my toy from Auntie Holly and Uncle Jer for Christmas!

My girls! One morning right before Church.

Karenza reading to me.

I had to take this picture. I uncovered her because she was sleeping so stickin' cute!!

How cute am I?

As for the new job I started Feb. 1st. I got a job as an Accounting Clerk for a company called Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson. It's a Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm. I had training for three weeks straight in Dickinson. I absolutely love what I am doing. The people have been great, and so accommodating with letting Amyah come with me for my weeks of training. I just wasn't ready to be away from her that long! Karenza came the first week, and loved swimming in the hotel. She unfortunately couldn't come the rest of the weeks as this Mom made her go to school! It's been an adjustment for her for me to go back to work. She has had me home for over a year. We've been dealing with some behavioral issues with her at home and at school. We are hoping that will soon be coming to an end, and I'll have my good girl back. Other then finding a new routine with everyone now that I am back at work we've just been busy with the normal life stuff. Randy's boys basketball traveling team is starting back up again so we will be busy going and traveling to games. Softball is right around the corner too. We are definitely eager for spring to get here and get outside! I hope you all are doing well. I hope to keep updating with pictures.

Updates on Amyah & Karenza

Amyah has finally gotten into a routine. She has been going to bed about 10:00pm every night, and sleeping until about 5am. She eats, then is back in bed at 5:20, and sleeps until 8:00am (or 9am on days we don't have to take Karenza to school). She will take a good 3-4 hour nap in the afternoon, and little cat naps here and there throughout the day in her bouncer or swing. She loves her vibrating bouncy more then her swing. It use to be Karenza's, and it quit working on Saturday. I switched batteries, and it still wouldn't turn on. She was not too happy to be anywhere else, and she loves that so much! So after chuch on Sunday we went and purchased a new one for her! She took a nap in it right away, and smiled at us almost like "Thank you!"

Karenza has been so busy with preschool, and church school. She got papers this week sent home with her to register for Kindergarten. Lots of paperwork to fill out, and then I call to make an appointment. They will then determine where she will go to Kindergarten at. We think she will be going to Solheim. She will have a tour in April, and then she starts in Kindergarten. The principal at Solheim used to be the Boys Basketball coach in Carrington when I was in high school, and was a boys basketball cheerleader.

Anyway, in other news happenings is that on New Years day I was having rather severe pain. I finally had Randy take me to the ER. The did a CT scan on me, and found out I had a kidney stone. They gave me the option of admitting me or going home to try and pass it. They usually send patients home that have stones that are 5mm and smaller. Mine was 7mm, and gave me the option. It was a rather large stone, and they weren't sure if it ever would. They put me on 4 different medications, and had me meet with a Urologist on Monday. They did a xray, and it was still in the same location as it had been on Friday. He asked how I had been feeling, and I had been feeling great. He gave me the option of trying to pass it in one week, and if not he'd have to do surgery because my right kidney was inflammed. So I was took trying to pass it on my own, and to be back in one week. I went back today, had another xray, and it was gone! Yeah!!! I was so happy/relieved that I didn't have to have surgery. I didn't even feel when I passed it. Which surprised the doctor because he said for how big the stone was I should have felt it. I go back in three months to have my kidneys re-evaluated to make sure they are working properly. However, through out this process they did find a rather large cyst on my ovary. So I now have an appointment with my OBGYN. Yuck. But, I am feeling great !

Below are just a couple pictures of the girls.

Amyah Amoray Grayson

Yes, it has been a while since I have posted anything. It's been busy around here since the arrival of our second daughter. I have usually posted all my pictures on Facebook, so I am not sure if anyone checks this anymore. But I am going to try and get back to posting regularly when I have a free minute (those are hard to come by these days!).
Amyah Amoray Grayson was born on October 23rd at 7:45am. She weighed 8lbs 3oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. With the H1N1 virus in full outbreak we were not able to have any visitors at all. It was sad because we had to wait 4 days (I had a c-section) before we could show/share her with anyone. I've been feeling really good. My recovery went well. I think we are in the swing of things now with a new baby. After having a 5 year old that likes to be independent and do things her self to someone who depends on you for everything. It's been an adjustment for Karenza as well. She has had 100% of our attention for 5 years, and with a new baby arriving it is hard to share. We've all been adjusting to the new little girl! She has started to smile, "talk", and coo to us. When we first brought her home Karenza was a little disappointed that she didn't "do" anything. Amyah wouldn't smile when she tried playing peek-a-boo with her. Amyah now smiles when Karenza talks to her and she loves that! Below are pictures from October 23rd.

Just arrived - it's 5am
Getting ready!!

She's here!!

First Day of Preschool

Today was Karenza's first day of preschool. She was very excited this morning that today was finally her day to go to school. This past week she told me that she was kind of nervous because she was afraid she was going to talk too much!! I reassured her that she would be fine, and all she had to do was listen to her teachers. She did absolutely fine! When I left her there this morning, and I turned to walk away I looked back and saw my "baby" sitting there using scissors. I lost it! She isn't suppose to be big enough to go to school yet. Where have the last almost 5 years gone? All I can say is that this next baby is arriving at a perfect time for this Mommy! When we picked her up from school she was so excited to see us, but was so excited to also tell us about her morning. It's reassuring to know that she wasn't terrified, and never wanted to go back again. She told me everything they did, and that she also didn't finish her yogobites for a treat. :-) They have to bring a treat, and a drink each day for snack time. She handed me her folder, which she will be bringing home everyday with items that she either did that day or items for parents to have. I have a folder at home where I transferred everything to (after dating it) and will keep it forever. We also got a school calendar, and she is one busy school girl!! She will be having lots of parties, lots of dress in red, black, blue, green, ect, days, pj day, sunglasses and hat day, ect. She also has school pictures as well! With a new baby coming, and one busy school girl we will have our hands full.

Below are pictures of her first day:

I think she was over excited this morning because she didn't eat much of her cereal

There is the peace sign again!

So pretty!!

There goes my "baby"

There she is using the scissors, and not even looking for her Mom!! :-( j/k

And where else would a 4 (almost 5) year old want to eat at besides McDonald's for lunch. It was her choice when we picked her up from school. Shouldn't she still be in a high chair?

Scary Moment

Okay so for some reason blogger isn't allowing me to cut, paste, or move my pictures around where I want them too. So, I guess pictures will come first, and the explanation below the pictures of what the scary moment was all about.

Enjoy pictures:

So pretty!

Yesterday Karenza had her preschool orientation, as you can see from the pictures above. She took all her school supplies in her backpack to put away in her tote at school. She was so excited to go. Our morning routine was normal as usual. I got up first, and took a shower and got all ready. Then woke her up, and gave her a bath and washed her hair. We ate breakfast, and off to the orientation we went. I felt fine all morning. I was a little stiff and sore, but I just put it towards that I didn't sleep well the night before. I probably got two hours of sleep if I was lucky. Mom and Dad met us at Karenz'a preschool, and she was so excited to show her Dad and Papa the school. Only Mom, and I have seen it. She was leading the way as she remembered where to go. She found her hook where her backpack is to go. She found her name tag, and then was handed a check list. The check list had items on it that made us tour the classroom, and show our children where things were so that they would know and become familiar with the area. She found her name where she is to put her snacks, she found her chair, and her tote for her school supplies, she located the bathroom, ect. Karenza was playing with the toys as Mom, Dad, Randy and I were talking to her teachers as we were getting ready to leave. I all of a sudden started feeling hot, and clammy. I had to go sit down because I felt like I was going to pass out. I walked out of the classroom, and sat on the stairs. Randy followed me, and asked me if I was okay and I told him I feel like I am going to pass out. Mom, Dad, and Karenza soon followed and up the stairs we went. I was first, and I barely could make it. I just felt like I was going to fall backwards. I just hung on to the railing for dear life. As soon as I got to the top of the stairs Randy noticed a chair, and brought it to me. I was leaning against the wall, and knew it was a matter of time before I was going to fall over. Karenza was concerned about showing the gym to her Papa. So off he took her, thank goodness she didn't see what happened next. I was sitting there, and Randy brought me a sprite. I held on to it, never taking a drink of it. I think I set it on the floor. The next scene of events I don't really remember. Last thing I remember is hanging on to Randy's hand, and I leaned against my Mom saying "I am going to pass out you guys". What woke me up is I threw up. Next thing I remember is the fire fighters were first to arrive asking me my name and birthdate. As I was still sitting there I passed out again in front of them. Randy and my Mom said I went into convulsions after I passed out. They put some oxygen on me, and that made me feel sick. It was harder to breathe for me. They just told me to take little breaths. When I was being taken out on the stretcher I saw my Dad holding Karenza and she was crying her eyes out. I thought to myself "What the heck am I doing? This is suppose to be a big special day in her little world, and now this is taking precedent over what was suppose to be important day for her!" I started to cry. I just felt awful. I could hear the paramedics in the ambulance talking. Randy rode with. I heard him ask them what my blood sugar was, and they said 114. My blood pressure was 112/94. They put in an IV. I was wheeled into the ER room, and they started doing vitals, and checked the baby's heartbeat. I don't know if she was a RN or a CNA, but she told me not to be worried if she doesn't get the baby's heartbeat at first because she wasn't too good at it. I wasn't really worried because after I threw up in the church I felt the baby kick immediately so I knew she was okay. Her heart rate was 152 bpm though. They took blood work, and they kept me until it came back from the lab. I was a little anemic, and my potassium was a little low. They called my Dr. and I have an appt. for tomorrow, and she wants to run some brain wave activity tests to make sure I didn't have a seizure because of the convulsions I was having. They released me and told me to go home and rest with plenty of fluids.
I don't know why I pass out in my pregnancy's. I passed out when I was pregnant with Karenza when I was 19 weeks pregnant with her. Although I fell from standing up, and hit my nose on a desk at work and broke it. It's scary! At least I didn't break my nose this time. I just feel awful because Karenza didn't really know what was happening. When we got home she just cuddled beside me in the chair. She told me "Mommy, I thought you were going to be with Papa Bug!" (My Grandpa who passed away over a year ago). She thought I was dieing. My Mom told me she kept saying at her preschool "I don't want my Mommy to go away!" Poor thing, I hope I didn't traumatize her from wanting to go to school now. She said maybe I shouldn't take her to school since it makes me sick. I tried telling her that I will be okay, and that it wasn't her school. While at the ER, Dad sat with Karenza in the waiting room. Mom went and checked on them and bought her some treats. Mom came back and said she sure is mad at her sister because she thinks she made me pass out and get sick. Dad told her that she did the same thing to me when she was inside my tummy. She told Dad "Yeah, yeah I've heard that story already." and wanting to change the subject real quick. Anyway, I am home now resting with my feet up. I hope my Dr. doesn't put me on bed rest when I go tomorrow!
