Update at Work

I thought I'd better do a post about my new job. So here we go...

I love it! It's great to be back in the workforce, and back in an office environment. I forgot how much I miss that. Our Finance/Accounting Dept. is made up of 9 people (all girls). Except for our CFO that's a male, and I have yet to meet him. Weird, but I guess that is just the way he is. There are 3 Accounts Receivable Clerks including myself, and my primary duties is Accounts Receivable. It is invoicing out projects that our project managers are doing work for. It's more number crunching, and working with budgets and I love that. I have approximately 35 project managers I am responsible for, and each project manager has on the average 50 projects I am responsible to invoice out. The difference of invoicing from my previous job is we did it once a month in a 3/4 day window and that was it for the month. In this position I am invoicing out any day of the week for the project manager. It's quite different then what I was used to, but I am getting the hang of it. Just getting use to their internal lingo they use for certain reports and such. I am loving the social aspect of it too, and meeting new people. We have a wide variety of people who work in our Dept. A older lady in our dept (her daughter is my age) thought I was way younger then I actually was. When I told her I had two girls one who was 5, and one who was 4 months she actually said "You must have started your family quite young!" I was kind of shocked she said that, but I informed her I was 26 when I had my first daughter. She was floored. She didn't even think I was 26 now! I guess I should be flattered. Anyway, work is going great. Trying to find a balance with two girls, one not sleeping through the night yet, and the other going to school for 1/2 days on MWF's. Thank goodness we live close to family to be able to help us out where we aren't able to so that Karenza can still be involved in things she needs to be involved in. She is loving that she is going back to her daycare. She misses the kids there. Amyah has been great at daycare. Such a good baby is what she tells me. She just loves watching all the action of the other kids. The weeks seem to be flying by so fast, as I am so busy at work that the days just seem to fly by.

I'll try to post/update soon with more pictures of the girls. Can't believe spring/summer is right around the corner. We are welcoming the warmer weather that's for sure. Where we can be outside more! Well better run as there is a list of things that need to be done laundry, dishes, and play time with my girls....

Amyah's Baptism

Below are the few pictures I did get of Amyah's baptism that took place yesterday. I wasn't sure how the day was going to go as Amyah woke up fussy. She just wasn't her self when she woke up, and I really think she is coming down with a little cold. She took a little snooze before church, and I told the Pastor that I was nervous on how she was going to act during the baptism. He reassured me that everything would be okay, and that he'd just go with the flow. He told me that if she fusses everyone will tease him that he made her fuss! ha. To my surprise I shouldn't have worried at all the little stinker showed off! She smiled while we prayed, she cooed in the microphone as the pastor walked down the aisle to show her to everyone. She was a hit! Of course she looked beautiful too. I can't believe she is 4 1/2 months old already. I didn't realize how fast they grow up. Before I knew it Karenza was 3, and now she's 5! I am trying to savor every little moment of her being so little! I wish I could freeze time just for a little bit. I just love her with every ounce of my being! The love you have for your children is just amazing. Whether they are 5 and talk back, and have disciplinary issues or are 4 1/2 months old and smile on a dime! Enjoy the few pictures below (of course in reverse order):

Her outfit waiting to be put on
As I am sitting her typing this, Amyah is sitting in her bumbo seat on the counter watching and smiling at me every time I look at her and say something. It's 9:30pm, and she is wide awake! We have tried everything with trying to get her to sleep through the night. Karenza and Amyah are such different babies. Karenza was sleeping through the night by now. Amyah has yet to sleep through the night. She isn't showing any signs of doing anytime soon either. Randy and I have just tag teamed off on the night duties and have shared the responsibilities of getting up with her. It's great to have such support from an amazing Dad who loves his girls! We're hoping we will turn a corner soon! I can update more later I am getting a fussy baby on my hands who wants out of her seat! lol. Mommy duties call....

Videos

Above is a video of Amyah taken in January.

Below is a video of Amyah taken in February at the hotel, and by the way at the end of the video where she starts to choke she was absolutely fine after I sat her up. :-)

Due for an Update!

Wow! Where has the time gone? We've been so busy! With me starting a new job, and training in a different town. It's been hectic around here. But, I figured my blog was due for an update with some pictures, and an update about the girls and my new job.

First and foremost, are pictures of the girls below! Amyah is growing so fast! It's so amazing to watch Karenza and her. She LOVES Karenza, and squeals every time she sees her. Of course Karenza loves that! Karenza has already been asking for a brother. I was like "Whoa! Hang on with that one!!" lol. Anyway, Amyah had her 4 month checkup and is meeting all standards, well exceeding them actually. She is in the over 100 percentile for height, and 95 percentile for her weight. I gotta big girl on my hands. She is in 6-9 month clothes because she is sooooo long. Below are pictures over the last few months.

Both girls just out of the bath (notice Amyah is grabbing Karenza's chin)
No smiles from Amyah

She will sit there for 20 minutes watching me clean/cook in the kitchen. Which is so nice! Like what her shirt says? Her Daddy does!

At the hotel with Mommy. Think this was week 3 of training.

Sleeping at the hotel. So sweet & innocent.

Close up of my beautiful girl

Man, I love that girl!

She has been swinging at things for a few months now. She can really bat at those things when she gets really excited!

I love my toy from Auntie Holly and Uncle Jer for Christmas!

My girls! One morning right before Church.

Karenza reading to me.

I had to take this picture. I uncovered her because she was sleeping so stickin' cute!!

How cute am I?

As for the new job I started Feb. 1st. I got a job as an Accounting Clerk for a company called Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson. It's a Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm. I had training for three weeks straight in Dickinson. I absolutely love what I am doing. The people have been great, and so accommodating with letting Amyah come with me for my weeks of training. I just wasn't ready to be away from her that long! Karenza came the first week, and loved swimming in the hotel. She unfortunately couldn't come the rest of the weeks as this Mom made her go to school! It's been an adjustment for her for me to go back to work. She has had me home for over a year. We've been dealing with some behavioral issues with her at home and at school. We are hoping that will soon be coming to an end, and I'll have my good girl back. Other then finding a new routine with everyone now that I am back at work we've just been busy with the normal life stuff. Randy's boys basketball traveling team is starting back up again so we will be busy going and traveling to games. Softball is right around the corner too. We are definitely eager for spring to get here and get outside! I hope you all are doing well. I hope to keep updating with pictures.

Updates on Amyah & Karenza

Amyah has finally gotten into a routine. She has been going to bed about 10:00pm every night, and sleeping until about 5am. She eats, then is back in bed at 5:20, and sleeps until 8:00am (or 9am on days we don't have to take Karenza to school). She will take a good 3-4 hour nap in the afternoon, and little cat naps here and there throughout the day in her bouncer or swing. She loves her vibrating bouncy more then her swing. It use to be Karenza's, and it quit working on Saturday. I switched batteries, and it still wouldn't turn on. She was not too happy to be anywhere else, and she loves that so much! So after chuch on Sunday we went and purchased a new one for her! She took a nap in it right away, and smiled at us almost like "Thank you!"

Karenza has been so busy with preschool, and church school. She got papers this week sent home with her to register for Kindergarten. Lots of paperwork to fill out, and then I call to make an appointment. They will then determine where she will go to Kindergarten at. We think she will be going to Solheim. She will have a tour in April, and then she starts in Kindergarten. The principal at Solheim used to be the Boys Basketball coach in Carrington when I was in high school, and was a boys basketball cheerleader.

Anyway, in other news happenings is that on New Years day I was having rather severe pain. I finally had Randy take me to the ER. The did a CT scan on me, and found out I had a kidney stone. They gave me the option of admitting me or going home to try and pass it. They usually send patients home that have stones that are 5mm and smaller. Mine was 7mm, and gave me the option. It was a rather large stone, and they weren't sure if it ever would. They put me on 4 different medications, and had me meet with a Urologist on Monday. They did a xray, and it was still in the same location as it had been on Friday. He asked how I had been feeling, and I had been feeling great. He gave me the option of trying to pass it in one week, and if not he'd have to do surgery because my right kidney was inflammed. So I was took trying to pass it on my own, and to be back in one week. I went back today, had another xray, and it was gone! Yeah!!! I was so happy/relieved that I didn't have to have surgery. I didn't even feel when I passed it. Which surprised the doctor because he said for how big the stone was I should have felt it. I go back in three months to have my kidneys re-evaluated to make sure they are working properly. However, through out this process they did find a rather large cyst on my ovary. So I now have an appointment with my OBGYN. Yuck. But, I am feeling great !

Below are just a couple pictures of the girls.

Amyah Amoray Grayson

Yes, it has been a while since I have posted anything. It's been busy around here since the arrival of our second daughter. I have usually posted all my pictures on Facebook, so I am not sure if anyone checks this anymore. But I am going to try and get back to posting regularly when I have a free minute (those are hard to come by these days!).
Amyah Amoray Grayson was born on October 23rd at 7:45am. She weighed 8lbs 3oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. With the H1N1 virus in full outbreak we were not able to have any visitors at all. It was sad because we had to wait 4 days (I had a c-section) before we could show/share her with anyone. I've been feeling really good. My recovery went well. I think we are in the swing of things now with a new baby. After having a 5 year old that likes to be independent and do things her self to someone who depends on you for everything. It's been an adjustment for Karenza as well. She has had 100% of our attention for 5 years, and with a new baby arriving it is hard to share. We've all been adjusting to the new little girl! She has started to smile, "talk", and coo to us. When we first brought her home Karenza was a little disappointed that she didn't "do" anything. Amyah wouldn't smile when she tried playing peek-a-boo with her. Amyah now smiles when Karenza talks to her and she loves that! Below are pictures from October 23rd.

Just arrived - it's 5am
Getting ready!!

She's here!!
