Randy and I are happy to announce we are expecting another baby, finally!! We are still very early on in our pregnancy, but I am not one for keeping secrets. I also consider this blog our family "life journal" so I am happy to announce we are so excited to be adding to our family. And guess what? The baby is due in October! Guess we are destined to have all our birthday's in October. Not like we weren't trying to have the baby in another month because we were. Just so happens this is the way it works for us. I am about a week behind of when I was pregnant with Karenza. So it should be pretty similar to compare. I just hope this pregnancy goes better then the one with her. Although I was to the doctor Thursday and Friday this past week as they thought I might be miscarrying the baby as I was cramping so bad. The doctor called this morning and all my levels looks good! Thank goodness.
I have been feeling okay, just extremely tired. Karenza is more then ecstatic! She gave Randy and I hugs, and kept telling us thank you, thank you! She was home from daycare Thursday and Friday last week so she was coming with me to the appointments. She thought we were going to get the baby that day, and told me she would pick it out! ha!! I told her that the baby has to grow in Mommy's tummy for a long time and that she might be 5 before we see the baby. She stayed with Mom and Dad on Friday night, and when they brought her home on Saturday she wanted to see my tummy to see if it had grown. I told her that it would be a long time before mommy's tummy would get big (long time in kid world!). Last night we were sitting on the couch and she says "Mom do we have diapers and stuff?" I said it will be a while before we need those too. Then she said "Dad has to get the crib out the garage and get it in here and put together so our baby has some place to sleep." I told her that Daddy would make sure our baby had some place to sleep, but that it would be a while before we needed it. She is so concerned with me, and is always kissing and rubbing my belly. She is going to be one great big sister!! I ordered a shirt off the Internet for Karenza to tell my Mom and Dad that we were expecting. On the front of her shirt it says "I've got a secret..." and on the back it says "I am going to be a big sister" I forgot to take a picture of her with it on, but I will try to get one and put it on here. She did go to daycare this morning, and couldn't wait to get there to tell everyone that her Mommy has a baby in her tummy! Although she thinks she is getting a sister I have reassured her that she may very well be getting a brother. She is so concerned that her brother will be so mean to her. I told her that I wouldn't let that happen, and that she will be bigger then him and will be able to show him how to do things. She seemed content with that, so we'll see. I am sure there will be many more questions along the way. This pregnancy will be so different, as I am a Mommy already and can't rest and sleep when I need to when I am tired. Although Karenza has been so good when I need to rest she will just sit and play or watch TV so that I can rest. I usually am a night owl, and not going to bed before 11:30 or midnight. Lately I am ready for bed at 8:30! I just pray that everything goes good with this pregnancy and that I will have a happy healthy baby.
