Medora Vacation

A week ago today we were off to Medora. It's only a few hours away, but it is such different country then here. We left our place at about 11:00am, and went to Mom and Dad's. Karenza ran through the front door and yelled to Mom and Dad "Happy Medora Day!!" She was so excited. She has been there two times before, but was little and doesn't really remember. We parked our Expedition in Mom and Dad's garage. Karenza and Cassidy rode with Mom and Dad in the Tahoe. I heard that was an interesting ride! Randy and I rode with Holly, Jer, and Addison in their Trailblazer. It was such a relaxing getaway for the weekend. We first stopped in Dickinson for lunch, then stopped at Painted Canyon, then we checked into our hotel it was about 2:30pm when we checked in. First on the itinerary the girls of course wanted to go swimming so that's what we did. Then at about 6:00pm we went up town for a little bit and looked through all the little shops. We then ate at Boots' Bar and Grill, and then headed back to our hotel room. It's such a small little town we walked every where.

On Saturday we were up and ate breakfast. The girls had an appt at 10:00am to get an old time photo taken. Randy and I even got one taken! I used a fan to cover my ever growing belly. Then it was off to more shops, playing in the park, back for more swimming, and miniature golf. It was so relaxing to swim. I love to sleep on my belly, and I have been having a heck of a time sleeping lately (I still have a long ways to go, I know~). Swimming seemed to help with that. I floated around on my belly on Karenza's noodle for hours. It was so relaxing! It helped relieve some pressure off my back as well. Then we ordered pizza to eat before the musical. The musical started at 8:30pm, just at dusk. We were only 4 rows up from the stage. The girls loved it!! What they loved even more is that their Papa got picked to be in part of the featured act. Dad had to hold a rope with three other guys to hold about 6-7 chairs stacked on top of each other. This guy stood on top of all the chairs and then juggled fire with his partner who was standing on the stage. They were funny. It was a short act, but they were funny.

Every morning when the girls woke up they would go to Mom and Dad's room. Mom and Dad's room were in the middle of Holly and her families, and ours. Karenza would wake up, and put on her shoes and go over in her pj's. She would knock, and then wait probably about 1 1/2 seconds before she would knock again. She kept doing that, and I finally had to tell her to give them a minute to get to the door to open.

Get ready for picture overload. Below are pictures of our weekend in no particular order:

Karenza and Cassidy playing at the park by our hotel
Karenza playing miniature golf. Jeremy said she would push the ball along, and then he'd ask her what she got and she would say "Uh, I got a 9!"

After eating on Friday night we were walking back to our hotel, and this is how Karenza was walking. She was pretending she was in a fashion show. She is so hilarious, and had us all laughing.

Cheers to our vacation. Eating on Friday night at Boots Bar and Grill. We ate on their screened in patio

Another horse the girls had to stop and pet. They were so friendly, and use to people.

The girls and their brand new hats. Mom, Holly and I had said we were just going to look at every thing on Friday night, and then shop on Saturday. Well, this was the first store and their Grandma happen to buy these for them. :-) So much for that idea.

Grandma helping Karenza

I wish I had video of this because her legs and arms were going a mile a minute, and it would take her forever to get any where. She was so funny! Mom would ask her if she could see her through her goggles because they were so fogged over and filled up with water, but she would say yes!
Our hotel rule is to always jump on the bed. It's always been that way since I've been a little girl. When we checked into our hotel Randy took Addie out of her car seat, and when we drove to our room (which was just right around the corner from the office) Randy just held onto her on his lap. So he brought her into our room, and she giggled when Karenza jumped on the bed. I was sure to tell Karenza to be careful not to land on her!

Here Uncle Randy and Addie are, and Karenza not to far away

This is at Painted Canyon tourist information center

Lunch in Dickinson. They had 1/2 price margaritas. I had a virgin strawberry one, and loved it!

Addie on our way to Medora. She was so funny all the way out there. She did take a little snooze, but she did all her "tricks" for me. She is getting to talk so cute.

Ready for vacation, and on our way out the house

Fourth of July Weekend

I had a whole post written on what each picture was and what we did this past weekend. Somehow it got erased, and I don't feel like re-writing the short novel I had already written. If I feel like writing it later I may, but don't count on it. So frustrating! So anyway, below are just pictures of our weekend:

Last Weekend

This past weekend we had a 75th birthday celebration for my Grandma at my Mom and Dad's house. Her birthday is actually the 28th of June, but this date worked better for everyone to have a party! Below are pictures from Saturday:

The whole family (minus Jer (my Sister's husband) cause he was still workin')

Grandma with her Grandkids (their spouses) and Great-Grandkids

All the Grandkids, their spouses, and Great-Grandkids

10 Great Grandkids!!

Too much fun

Karenza and Blake

What could they possibly be talking about?
Hope and Addison. Addie is 3 weeks older then Hope.

They weren't really sure about each other.

As you can see we had a good time. The kids especially! Karenza was outside all day long. I probably saw her about 15 minutes all day long!! To eat and to put on sunscreen. I did hear about one funny story I do have to share! I wish we could have had video of it, but an explanation will have to do.

Mom and Dad just built on to their garage, and they have little blue flags on the side of the garage to show where either the electricity was or their underground sprinklers were or something. Any way Karenza had a flag and so did her cousin Shane (3rd or maybe 4th cousin - not quite sure how far down the chain). Shane will be 3 in August, and Karenza is 4 1/2. So my Mom saw that Karenza had that flag and told her to put it down. Karenza said Shane had one too. Mom told Karenza to go tell Shane that he couldn't play with it because some one could get hurt. Well she just goes over to him and tries to pull it out of his hands. He wasn't going to have that so he pulled back. She said "You can't have that!" I am not sure what Shane countered with, but she proceeded to tell him "This is my Papa and Grandma's house and I stay with my Papa!" Shane said "Well I stay with my Papa too!" She said "I stay with mine a lot!" Then Karenza stuck her tongue out at Shane. My wonderful Sister saw that she did that, and went to have a little talk with her around the side of the garage (I was inside the house, and didn't see any of this take place. Probably best I didn't either!). Holly explained to Karenza that it was inappropriate to stick your tongue out and that we don't do that. Shane saw that Karenza's tongue was red (from the punch they were drinking) and said his tongue was red too! Then they ran off and played and the flag was no longer an issue! ha!

Also, below is a belly shot. Karenza took the photo of me, and cut off my head. ha! Which is okay because it isn't that pretty any way. ha! The picture below is of 20 weeks.

Doctor Appointment

I had a doctor appointment yesterday. My doctor wanted to know if we found out the sex, and she wanted to guess to see if she could guess right. So she first wanted to listen to the babies heartbeat. Every time she would get the heart beat the baby would move, and I could feel it. Sometimes it makes me jump a little depending on how hard she moves/kicks. Then I blew it by telling my doctor "She's been moving all morning!" Oops! But, she said she would have guessed a boy by the heartbeat.

Anyway, the ultrasound report was good. Baby is healthy, has a four-chamber heart, kidneys look good. Their only concern is that I am measuring too much amniotic fluid. Which can cause concern down the road she said. She scheduled another ultrasound for next Wednesday to have another look to check it again. She said it could have just been I am too hydrated or the baby could have just peed. So we'll see. I asked her what can be the issue down the road and she told me that she wanted to see the ultrasound results again before we got into the concerns. No need for me to worry about something if it was just because I was too hydrated, and the baby had just peed. I am excited to see my baby girl again! And maybe just have them try and confirm again if it's a girl.

I was looking back in a journal I kept while I was pregnant with Karenza, and as I don't remember this or being too worried about it I had a 2nd ultrasound with her as well. Hers was due to they couldn't see a 4-chamber heart. I don't remember freaking out about this!! I am glad for my journal otherwise I wouldn't have remembered that. But, the second ultrasound looked good for her. Let's hope for the same with this one! :-)

I am also measuring 3 weeks to big. Which might be the cause of the amniotic fluid as well. I also have only gained 3lbs since discovering we were expecting again. No weight gain since last time I was there (last time I was there I had lost a pound). So she said to me before I left that it wouldn't hurt to gain some weight!. When I was pregnant with Karenza I had no problem eating, but with this one it is hard. I get full so fast, but then in an hour I am hungry again. I'll try to gain some weight within the next month. My blood pressure was 133/84, which was better then last time I was at my appointment. She still wants me to come in periodically to have it checked before my next appointment on July 15th.

We also discussed which surgeon we preferred to have our c-section done. I only had concern for one doctor, and not to my surprise my doctor did as well. I told my doctor that which ever one she felt comfortable with I trusted her judgement. She gave me two options of who she likes to work with best and we agreed on have Dr. Iverson do to. Both my Mom and Aunt have went to her and they love her. My doctor scheduled a meet and greet session with her when I am 30 weeks along. We also discussed that my due date is October 30th, but that we will likely schedule the c-section on or around Oct. 15th if everything goes according to plan.

I can't believe we were making all these decisions and that I only go to the doctor two more times before I start going every two weeks, then every week! It seems to be going by very fast. Which to me is a good thing. The first part seemed to go slow, but now it seems like the months are flying by. I am glad my blood pressure was good so that there was no mention of bed rest at this appointment. YEAH!! I was worried I wouldn't be able to go on vacation with the rest of my family to Medora the second weekend in July. Karenza is really looking forward to it, and I would hate to disappoint her.

After our appointment I had a coupon that if I started a baby registry I got a free $20.00 Target gift card. As we don't need much we didn't put much on our registry. We do want a new stroller/car seat, a new swing, and new bedding. I liked a teal blue/brown stroller. It didn't really look boyish as I was thinking if she was wrapped in a pink blanket they wouldn't think she was a boy. Randy like a pink stroller! I was shocked because when we had Karenza he didn't want so much pink. He wanted more purple. He said that she's a girl, and girls are pink! So that is the one we went with, as well as the swing that matched it. After not having a baby for a few years there are some new stuff. Of course they always have the cutest girl clothes as well. I am sure it won't be too long before I'll be able to stroll through those aisles with my baby girl in her car seat with Karenza walking along side the cart. I'll have both my girls. How perfect is that?

This weekend we are having a birthday party for my Grandma. She turns 75 on June 28th, but we are having a party for her at my Mom and Dad's place on Saturday. Lots of people are coming, lots of kids for Karenza to play with. Should be fun, and the weather is suppose to warm. I've been helping Mom last week and this week getting ready for it. I'll take plenty of pictures and post next week. Have a great weekend!

Pictures

I haven't had many posts lately of any pictures of Karenza. So this post is of strictly pictures from last Friday when Karenza helped Mom plant flowers. There are also a couple photos that have been taken within the last month or so that were cute and I needed to add to share. The photos are out of order, but you get the idea...

Hanging on to the flowers and riding in the trailer

Digging holes for the flowers to go

Putting the empty containers in the trailer

Getting more flowers for Grandma

Raking the dirt around

Just lookin' too cute

Off for another ride

Going to get all the flowers and potting soil

Karenza and her Daddy

Karenza & Addie. She likes Karenza and calls her "Ah" when she sees her for Karenz-"AH"! Look at that face!!

**I'll have to get some photos of Cass this weekend as I realized I didn't have any new photos of her.

Ultrasound Results

Looks like we will be adding another girl to the family! Karenza is super excited, and told us that she knew she was getting a baby sister! She was really excited to see that her baby sister had feet just like her. All ten toes, and all ten fingers. Ultrasounds are always amazing to me. She sure was moving around a lot, and was hard to get some good photos of her. I wonder how much she will look like Karenza or if she will be so different? Below is an ultrasound picture.

I just find it so amazing that this little thing is inside of me. Makes it even more surreal. Time to get all the totes of clothes I've packed up for Karenza when she was a baby, and get a nursery put together for this little peanut. I really can't wait to meet her!
